Eric Bloom
Eric Bloom, a native of Bristol, RI, has been playing trumpet professionally since he was 17. Since then, he has played at some of the world’s most prestigious music venues such as the Blue note, Village Vanguard, Carnegie Hall, The Fillmore, Bonnaroo Music Festival, Japan’s Fuji-Rock Festival, Korea’s Jisan Valley Festival, and the world famous Newport Jazz Festival.
He has also had the opportunity to have played for a long list of well-known celebrities such as Donald Trump, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jim Belushi, Larry David, Justin Timberlake, Bill Murray, Kathy-Lee Gifford, Tracy Morgan, Bill Murray, The Rev. Al Sharpton, Diana Ross, former President George Bush Sr., Vice–President Joe Biden, former Vice-President Al and Tipper Gore, and former President Bill and Senator Hilary Clinton.
In 2009 joined the Diane Birch Band and began touring the US, Canada, Asia & Europe opening up for James Morrison, Mat Kearny, and Nick Jonas. In between tours, he performed on several TV shows including the Craig Ferguson Show, the Carson Daly Show, Jimmy Kimmel Show, the Today Show, the David Letterman Show, and the Conan O’Brian Show.
In 2011, Eric started playing with Soulive and Lettuce, two of the most critically-acclaimed US funk bands. While performing with a benefit concert for Haiti with Soulive, he had the chance to play with special guests Dr. John, Talib Kweli, Questlove, and Maceo Parker.
